Newborn Class

Prior to bringing home their newborn(s) many expectant couples attend some type of infant care class – often in the hospital where they will be delivering. These classes offer basic instruction on a variety of newborn topics. If you are a soon-to-be parent who has either not taken a newborn care class or maybe would just like a refresher course the following class is for you!

The ABC’s of Natural Baby Care, taught by ABC owner Kimberly Bepler, is an interactive class designed to teach you not only the basics of baby care, but also the subtleties of understanding and interpreting your newborn's cues so that you can better soothe and communicate with your baby. This class, hosted at Zenana Spa in SE Portland, covers bathing, diapering, swaddling and other soothing skills, as well as newborn senses. There is also a section focusing on baby carrier choices. This class offers evidence-based information on providing newborn care and adjusting to the newborn period, and will help you build confidence in your parenting skills.
