Get The Sleep You Need
If you need help overnight because you can't sleep, you aren't alone. We have a crammed schedule of overnights right now because we have parents with twins, families with fussy babies, single parents who are exhausted, and parents with sleep disorders. Sleep support can be for anyone who needs a little help, at the time when most of their people are least available.
Why does everything seem harder at night? Why does it seem like you are alone in the world? It is a common experience that things seem way scarier at night than in the morning.
Even if you have to wake up every 2-3 hours to breastfeed or empty your breasts or even if you have to sleep in the basement to feel safe enough to let go, find enough sleep.
Enough sleep is different for everyone, but you *must* get enough, or it is hard to enjoy your people, or make memories for later.
Don't hesitate to reach out. Postpartum doulas don't judge, we support. We don't come with an agenda of our own, only to serve you and care for your family. With tools. With experience. With confidence. And with gentleness.
Call a doula. Get sleep. (And don't wait long if you are starting to break down...we book up and never want to tell a family that we don't have anyone to help them!)
