Most of our clients are transplants to Portland, and many only have family "visiting" for a short time before they are on their own again. This creates a need to build a village of support, but it needs to be done quickly when a new baby arrives in a new city.

Enter the postpartum doula! Not only can doulas support families as they welcome babies and create a soft landing after a baby arrives, they can also connect them to resources for ongoing support and relationships. Mom or parent groups (available all over town), meal delivery (like Full Belly Fare - Handcrafted Dinners Delivered), hiking groups (like Hike it Baby), and baby wearing gatherings and social groups (like Beers & Babies) are all resources we offer parents regularly when they are looking to build support and connection in the community.

It is hard to be in new place and build your roots, but Portland is a wonderful place to raise a family, and doulas can help you connect and get established to build many memories with your little ones!
