Slow Cooker Recipe #3

I couldn't wait to save the easiest for last. So this is it, at only #3, the truly easiest thing I have ever made in a crock pot (that was yummy). Peach Cobbler. With 3 ingredients.

Not exactly like mine, but close, and I didn't have a fresh batch to photograph!

(Really) Easy Peach Cobbler

2 cans or 1 large jar of peaches (fresh if you can get them, but canned works fine)
1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick of butter, melted
Spray the inside of the crock pot to prevent sticking. put in the peaches and sprinkle the cake mix (dry) over the top evenly. Pour the melted butter over the top. Turn on the slow cooker and lid it for several hours (2 on high, longer on low).
That's it. Really.
I used too much of the juice from the jar of peaches the first time around, and I needed to bake it over 5 hours to get it past the mush stage. So I would recommend leaving out a bit of the juice, although the first try was delicious if a bit runny. I also like to top it with ground nutmeg or a bit of cinnamon, but not everyone likes those additions.
This is not the most attractive cobbler you can make, but I will say I have served this to a few southern women who gave their approval, which is a big thing to me considering the nature of the peach cobbler.
Other than that, it smells great, tastes super yummy, and I swear it takes 3 minutes to put together. Try it...you know you want to.
