You Don't Have to Do it Alone

Everything hard is better with support. And there's no doubt that parenting might be the hardest thing you ever do. It sure has been for me (and I'm not done yet!).

So many parents now just want to do it all themselves. And it can be done that way. (With less germs and less opinions from others!) But relying only on a partner for support is taxing on a relationship, and it puts everyone under such stress.

If you can share, do it! Take the parts you love and farm out the parts you don't. Allow someone else to do small things or big things or both.

There's nothing sweeter than the love of a small person, growing into a larger person, to make your heart full. But if you do it without support the sweetness has to complete with far more stress, clogging up the memories. I know it's hard to ask, but it's worth getting support? You'll be glad you did.
