Get in The Picture

As a doula I get to take a lot of pictures of moms with their babies--and sometimes they are the only ones they have of them loving on their babies. The moments that moms celebrate with other people loving their babies are often captured in photos.

But those same moments happen all the time with moms and babies, and no one is there to see it.
So moms, when you have the chance, get in front of the camera. Allow yourself to be photographed in realness. Postpartum bodies. Postpartum hair. Softness. Less polish. Pooch. All of you.

Your kids see you being a part of their lives. Loving them. And when you look back, there you will be. Right there with them. Looking like you do. Because you need to be remembered as rocking this mom thing. For them. And for you.
